In our second week of December Holiday traditions and celebrations we read about a couple holidays most of the Early Learners were not familiar with like Hannukah and Kwanzaa. We played the dreidel game and strung cereal instead of beads--it was so tasty. We also took a holiday from the holidays and enjoyed the nursery rhyme Hickory, Dickory, Dock. On our final day before break, we read and then acted out The Polar Express. The morning class continued to play by making their own train tickets and readjusting the chairs. Both group walked to the office and sang Jingle Bells and We Wish You a Merry Christmas to the staff there. See you in 2026!
Here is a peek at our week:
Have a wonderful break and we will see the Early Learners on Tuesday Jan 6 with their library books and Gg Show and Share--hard /g/ like gum, glue, green, etc.
