Fire Safety Week

We had an eventful week learning how to be safe IF there is ever a fire in a building (home or school) or on our clothing.

Most children had the opportunity to listen to their family's smoke detector and make a plan where outside to meet their family. Please continue to talk about and practice where your family meets and emphasize the importance of getting out, not hiding.

We practiced stop, drop, and roll in case we were too close to a camp fire, grill, or other flame and our clothes caught on fire. We learned the air above knee level is smokey and not good to breathe so we practiced crawling to a door.

Next week we will begin our Season of Fall unit and go on our field trip to Creek Bed Country Farmacy--money and slips were due Wed, Oct 5th. Reminder Monday is a forest day so no back packs, dress for the weather, and bring a labeled water bottle if you want one.
