Mo Willems Pigeon week

This week we read many stories by author Mo Willems about his character Pigeon. We had fun hearing all of Pigeon's emotions and his many reasons/excuses for driving a bus, staying up late, getting a puppy, and eating hot dogs.

We reviewed some shapes and practiced cutting when we each made our own Pigeon. On Thursday each child told me the adventure they thought their Pigeon should have. These will be on display through Family Fun Day in the hall this month--make sure to stop by and read them!

We also colored a hot dog and decorated it with our favorite toppings. We used crackers, pretzels, and their choice of peanut butter or cheese spread to make a Pigeon foot snack--yummy!

Wednesday our Bookworm Readers came and read us The Mitten. In the afternoon class we had a chance to act it out by climbing in a large pretend mitten.

Next week we will focus on friendship and Valentine's Day. We have Vv show and share on Tuesday Feb 7th--there is a typo on the PM calendar so please note the change. Thank you!
