Farm Unit weeks 1 and 2

We explored farms mostly through two familiar tales--The Three Little Pigs and The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We experienced the stories with books, puppets, and by acting them out.

Our cooking project was pigs in a blanket. With a partner we cut the dough and hot dog and rolled them up. Mysteriously the afternoon's batch looked like real pigs in real blankets. :)

We learned an echo song about a shaky egg.

Yesterday (Wednesday) was fully of squeals and giggles as we tried "milking a cow".

Besides farm activities we:
used play dough,

built with blocks and created with other toys,

tried out fairy gardens but mostly made soup and salad,

and traced letters, numbers, and shapes on the ipads.

Next we will be on safari learning about wild animals that live far away.
