Nursery Rhyme Week Nov 28-Dec 1 2017
The blog is a day early because I will be gone tomorrow so rather than make you wait until next week I thought I would share this weeks events so far. We explored a few nursery rhymes this week--tomorrow will be a review of Jack & Jill which we acted out last week Monday on the hill over at the high school.
Monday we were in the forest and learned "There was a Little Turtle" rhyme before and we read The Tortoise and the Hare. The rest of Monday's adventures are recapped in the Project Wild Child Blog.

Tuesday we reviewed 2 rhymes about spiders--The Itsy Bitsy Spider and Little Miss Muffet. After we acted out Little Miss Muffet we made spiders to use at home to tell our families the rhyme.
Wednesday we did Baa Baa Black Sheep. We had a chance to act it out as a group and later with our friends--the morning class changed it up a bit and it became a story about a runaway sheep they needed to catch for the fair. We played a game to add wool to our sheep.
Thursday we learned Humpty Dumpty. After acting it out, we built our own walls for Humpty Dumpty to sit on and drew a picture of the walls. In the kitchen we made Humpty Dumpty sandwiches with a partner. Some loved the taste and some did not, but everyone seemed to like cracking and peeling the eggs.
We had lots of time to play with our friends too!
Next week we will start exploring December holidays.
