Family and Thanksgiving Unit Nov 14-17 2017

Family and friends are an important part of our lives so we spent most of the week celebrating what makes each family special and how to be a kind friend. We had our first letter Show and Share with Ff because family and friend begin with f. Some items shared were fish, frog, feather, farmer, flute, french fries, and folder. 

We talked about our families, learned some family rhymes, and made a family picture. 

We made a book about some Thanksgiving foods and memorized it so we can use the picture clues about the foods and "read" it to our family. 

We enjoyed lots of time experimenting, creating, and playing with our friends.

We worked with a partner to make a "foot friend". Partners took turns tracing each others foot. After cutting them out they used a variety of materials to decorate them. 

We capped off the week by having some family members join us for Family Fun Day. 

Next week we only have school on Monday and Tuesday so there will not be a classroom blog.
