Safety Review Week Feb 25-Mar 1, 2019

This week we expanded on the safety topics we focused on in the fall. We reviewed 911 as the emergency number and defined emergency as needing more help then our adults can give us. Examples included forest or house fire, car accident, flood, burglars, and someone being lost.
We also reviewed where to meet our family if we have to get out of our house in case of a fire--most children could use more practice. Please practice family fire drills every couple months.

We learned about signs that help us and went on a short walk around the school. They all did great pointing them out and were very quiet. :)

We drew a picture of our house, learned about what an address tells us, and practiced what town we each are from.

We had some new additions to our classroom--a light table, glass and ceramic tiles, magna tiles, and lots of big boxes. We liked all the new stuff but the boxes were the favorite.

We played in other areas with our friends too.

Next week we start exploring dinosaurs.
