You can "count" on Early Learners to have a great week and this week was so full. We had our first Show & Share. The children brought a certain number of items on the days--Tuesday was 3, Wednesday was 4, and Thursday was 5. They did a great job listening to each other, counting their items, and telling something about their items.
Wednesday we read
Pete the Cat's Four Groovy Buttons. We made paper buttons and used them during the story to subtract along as Pete's buttons popped off.
Thursday was our cooking day and we mixed and measured to make pumpkin pie. We smelled the spices and noticed how the pie changed from liquid to solid as it baked. We could smell it baking as we played. Almost everyone tried the pie and many asked for more. Whipped cream was only popular with about half of the children.
All week worked on a counting rhyme book. On Friday we finished it and practiced reading it before it went home.
We also had time to play with our friends.
Next week we will talk about families and Thanksgiving. Next Friday is our next Family Fun Day!
***I am sorry that there are no pictures this week. I have tried and tried but they just won't come up on the blog. I wanted you to have the information so I am posting without pictures. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.***
