We have had fun with the colors red, orange, and yellow this week. We learned the color pokey song and used paper streamers, read fun stories, and did some activities. We had our first cooking day and made play dough for our classroom. We added red and blue food coloring and found out that makes purple--one color we will have fun with next week.
Red Day we went for a walk and spied red objects in our community--stop sign, berries, leaves, vehicles, flowers, flags, fire hydrants, letters on signs, etc.
Orange Day we marble painted with a partner.
Yellow Day we cut out the bus we painted on the first day of school and made oobleck--2 parts cornstarch and 1 part water--great sensory exploration.
We also had lots of time to explore our classroom and get to know our classmates. Here is a glimpse at our week.
