We read about and explored apples this week. Apples come in many colors when they are ripe. There are many delicious foods made from apples--fresh apples, applesauce, pies, cider, muffins, crisp and much more. On Thursday we worked together to make apple crisp--it was so good! Wednesday our families joined us for the first Family Fun Day and one of our projects was cutting apples--we watched them change from white to brown as they sat in the air, experimented with sinking/floating, smelled them, and found some seeds. Tuesday we worked on finger strength and dexerity as we tore paper to cover apple shapes and cut them out for our tree in the hall. We did ont get to do our apple tasting party yet, but are looking forward to it soon.
