We explored winter by reading books, playing outside, having to stay inside many days because it was below zero, and having a full day off from school because it was extremely cold. We also made decorations for our hallway--paper snowmen and snowflakes. Our special cooking project was Snow Soup--made with real snow and many vegetables. Most thoughjt it was okay, some did not like it, and some had 4 helpings. Our families also joined us one day to make winter projects, read stories, and listen to our songs. Next week we will be learning about Animals of the polar regions--north and south. Here is a peek at our weeks:
It was just 15 years ago that Ms. Ashley was an Early Learner helping put ingredients in the soup and today she got the job of adding the snow :)
