We read many books--some fact and some fiction.
We painted and then cut out large dinosaur decorations.
We made play-doh dinosaur eggs, played with dinosaur figurines, and dug in the sensory table.
We measured and compared their size to familiar items. We also measured each other with blocks--sorry no pictures, we were so focused I forgot--oops. There is a homework sheet for you and your child to do together to measure items in your home--please check their folder this weekend.
We made a dinosaur treat and were a little squeamish about the ingredients--swamp water (milk), dirt (cocoa), squashed bugs (peanut butter), fat (butter), and grass (oatmeal). The recipe can be found in the EL cookbook booklet (no-bake cookie) that came home after February's Family Fun Day.
