Apples week one Sept 24-27, 2019

We had a delicious week exploring apples and experiencing our first Family Fun Day. 

We gave our fingers a workout by tearing and gluing paper on an apple shape. We cut them out and decorated our tree in the hall.

Wednesday we met many family members and had fun doing projects and reading with our own families.

Thursday we had an apple tasting party AND made apple crisp. After tasting red, yellow, and green apples we rated how well we liked them. There was discussion about which were juicy and which were drier as well as which were sweet and which were not.

We carefully measured and mixed the ingredients for the crisp. While we played we could smell it baking. Most of the children liked it and some even asked for more.

We had lots of time to play with our friends too.

Next week we will continue to have fun with apples.
