Colors Sept 9-13, 2019
We had fun exploring colors this week! We noticed them on our clothes and in our environment. We danced to the Color Pokey and read books about colors. We painted, drew, cut, and made recipes.
Monday was our first Project Wild Child in the park. As we walked to and from we saw many red cars and trucks, a couple red hydrants, and some red stop signs.
Tuesday we focused on orange. We painted with marbles and partners. It was also our first library day and we checked out our first books.
Wednesday was yellow day. Some of us LOVED the yellow oobleck and others weren't so excited about it. To make at home it is 2 parts cornstarch to 1 part water and add food coloring to make desired color.
Thursday we were very busy with blue. We followed a recipe and made blue play dough and later we finger painted with blue paint.
Throughout the week we continued to explore and play with our peers. We are practicing taking turns and waiting. Best of all we have each other to play with!
Next week we will continue with colors.
