Winter Jan 6-10, 2020

We started exploring what to expect in winter. We learned winter doesn't always mean snow on the ground...although it sounds like we can expect some very soon.

We heard the story Snow Soup and then made our own recipe. Some children liked it, some didn't, and some children had 4 helpings! We used real snow and watched how it melted to made the liquid for our soup.

We learned new songs--Run Little Snowman was a favorite, made painted paper snowmen, and a winter counting book. 

The BookWorm Readers came to read us The First Day of Winter and everyone took home their own copy.

We had lots of time to explore and learn with our friends too! The "ice-fishing" in the sensory table was always busy.

Next week we will continue to learn about the season of winter.
