We have had a busy 2 weeks. We ran in the school Fund Run cheered on by our grandparents and other family members. We explored soybean pods and counted the seeds inside. We used other seeds to make our names. We made q-tip skeletons and painted with fall colors to cut out large leaves for our tree in the hall. We cut open a pumpkin and found the seeds. Some enjoyed tasting the pumpkin flesh. We spent time talking about emotions and how those emotions look on a face. We practiced drawing different feelings faces on pumpkins. Thank to Reid and Journey Holstein (both former EL students) and their dad. They donated the small pumpkins the children painted this week. We wrapped up our week with a costume day. Next week we will focus on numbers and quantity.
