We focused on numbers and quantity this week. We had 2 show & share times--once with 3 related objects and nother with 5 related objects. We worked on a book to practice number recognition, counting, and rhyme. Please have your child read it with you or to you multiple times. During the week we enjoyed stories like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons, and Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. In cooking we made friendship mix with some of our leftovers. We finished our week with a visit from former Rio Elementary principal Dr. Amy Parish. She has been running one of the international schools in South Africa for many years and has recently returned. She showed us pictures of many native African animals. Next couple weeks we will be focusing on families, friends, and Thanksgiving. Here is a peek at our week.
