Welcome to 2024! We started our week with Gg Show and Share and made a game to practice the hard /g/ sound. The rest of the week we read about the Gingerbread man and The Gingerbread Baby. Thursday we made our own gingerbread people and almost everyone ate theirs--we were very careful not to peek and let them escape.
Both classes a favorite book--In a Dark, Dark Wood An Old Tale With a New Twist by David Carter (copyright 1991). Many have it memorized and they love reading it to each other and having it read to them. If you happen to see a copy of this at a resale shop or a rummage sale this spring, I would LOVE to get another copy as the one I have is getting lots of use and I hope it survives :)
