We have been reading many folktales with ties to farm animals or produce including The Little Red Hen, Three Little Pigs, Three Billy Goats Gruff, and Rumpelstiltskin. We learned boy goats are called billlies and goat children are called kids. We cooked pigs in a blanket, made puppets to retell the 3 Billy Goats Gruff, and played PIG-O (similar to bingo with numbers 0-9). The highlight of our unit was getting to "milk". We created an udder and teats with glove and practiced milking.

Next week we are focusing on Earth Day and recycling.
