We continued working on our color boards. This week we used pine branch tips and pinecones from the forest (green), q tips (blue), and dandelions (yellow). Next week we will finish them up and send them home. We also had our field trip to Smith Bus Company. We learned about bus safety and how they take care of the buses. We practiced exiting out the back and helped check that all the lights were working. We saw the engine and the big wrenches (and other tools) the mechanics use. We explored the tires and we got to look under the bus too. After washing our hands, we got on the bus to watch the water, soap, and brushes clean the outside of the bus. Bus driver Bob treated us to a dish of ice cream at Sassy Cow. We returned to school and had a mini picnic on the lawn. We finished our week by thinking about what we might want to be when we are grown up--we will share these at the picnic later this month :)
