We learned so much this week about fire safety. We listened to a skit by Big Bird and Cookie Monster and then practiced stop, drop, and roll. We learned that 911 is the emergency number if there is a big fire. We made a matching game to practice some of the vocanulary we heard this week--hydrant, helmet, 911, fire engine, etc We also had our first homework and listened to our smoke detectors and made a plan with our families were to meet if we ever have a fire at our home. We wrapped up our week with Grandparents Day and the Fund Run. (Sorry no fund run pics--I was busy marking shirts). Next week we are hoping to have the firefighters come to our classroom to show us their safety gear. Here is a peek at our week.
