We started talking about the holiday most familiar to the majority of the students--Christmas. We spent lots of time in the tree decorating and gift wrap areas. We practiced using scissors, measuring/estimating paper to fit our box or gift, threading hooks on to ornaments, weaving beads and ribbon around the tree, and using our imaginations about the presents we might wrap. The using the tape proved the most tricky--cutting it off and then getting the sticky side where we wanted it on the paper was quite a challenge!
We also made a surprise for our families--no pictures so there is no peeking!
Please remember to dress warm for Monday--2 pairs of socks, water and wind proof mittens/gloves, scarf, etc--it will be chilly, but we should have plenty of snow, if the weatherman is correct.
