We reviewed many ideas and concepts we talked about this year including shapes, colors, counting objects, animals, cutting, and favorite stories. We read Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes and made a story extension about what else Pete might step in and the color his shoes would turn. We also cut shapes to make an ice cream cone and colored it to look like our favorite flavors.
Our big event was our trip to Mackenzie Environmental Center where we heard and saw many animals. The wolves really held our attention in both classes. In the morning the deer was close to the fence but in the afternoon it was up on the hill. The afternoon class was able to see the fox and the bison.
Next week we will learn about insects and summer.
