Signs of Fall week 2

Another busy week in Early Learning! Here are some highlights:

We traced each letter of our name with glue than attached dried seeds to decorate them. We really worked out our fingers!

We have been using some tools and supplies from the art center, but this week it was fully opened so all tools and supplies were available during playtime. We are learning where everything goes when we are done.

We heard the story of Jack & the Beanstalk and afterward we could play with the beanstalk (AM one made by Mrs. Bender and PM one made by Mrs. Hruby). The castle was a new addition to our play area too.

We during our cooking time on Thursday, we made pumpkin pie. We smelled the spices, measured the ingredients, stir it all together, and waited for it to bake. We could choose to add whip cream when it was served. Some liked it and some did not but we all helped--I had some and these are some good cooks in Early Learning!

We were going to cut into the pumpkins next week but it was discovered that one had a bad spot. So Friday we dug into the pumpkin to find seeds and pulp. In the afternoon with the fresh pumpkin, many of us chose to lick or taste the inner pumpkin flesh--sort of reminded us of carrots.

We also just had fun with our friends.

Next week we will have costume day on Tuesday and finish up our first quarter of school--this year is flying by!
