This week we learned and practiced ways to stay safe if there is fire. We had our first homework and reviewed our family meeting places. This is something to remind them of every couple of weeks--walk out to the meeting place together and remind them of your family plan.
We practiced stop, drop, and roll after listening to a Cookie Monster and Big Bird skit.
We practiced crawling to an outside door when we learned the air by the floor is cleaner--less smokey.
We made a memory matching game and decorated 911.
We played in the water table, dressed up, and had fun with our classmates.
On Friday we read No Dragons for Tea and reviewed the safety tips we learned all week. We also had a great time running in the Fund Run to raise money for play ground equipment. (Sorry I didn't get pictures, but check the main school website.)
We made orange play dough during cooking this week.
We have been working on learning our circuit routine which helps with our sense of our body in space and with our balance, as well as, getting both sides of our brain communicating more efficiently.
Next week we start learning about the season of fall and experiencing it in many ways.
