Colors Week 2

We have had a busy week exploring more colors. I do need to apologize because there will only be pictures included from Monday because of some technical difficulties with the device I was using to take the pictures. Hopefully we will have that all sorted out next week and I will be able to share more images of the students in action.

Monday was green day. We found green grass and leaves, green street signs, and even a green kayak on our walk to and from the park. We read Go Away Big Green Monster too.

Tuesday we explored purple. We read Harold and the Purple Crayon and then drew our own purple adventures--these will be on display during Family Fun Day on Wednesday Sept 26.

Wednesday was brown day. We read Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? and then made a class book of all friends in our room. We concentrated on tracing our names and adding our own photo to the page.

Thursday we met Gray Squirrel and learned a song about him. We also read about his friend Earl the Squirrel and made a gray squirrel puppet to take home.

Throughout the week we enjoyed playing with the play dough we made during cooking time last week.

Next week is Family Fun Day on Wednesday and we are super excited. Family Fun Days occur about once a month and each child may bring a special grown up with them to spend the day us as we follow (sort of) our normal routine, do more projects than usual, and sing some songs.
