Apples Week 2 Oct 2-5 2018

We continued our apple theme this week. We had a tasting party and sampled red, green, and yellow apples. We noticed some were more sweet and others more tart, some were very crunchy and some were softer, and some were larger and some were smaller...BUT we found the star inside all of them.

We also read Ten Apples Up on Top. We each made a page for a class book and put apples on our heads.

We learned a new part of our arrival routine. We call it "the circuit". It is a string of physical activities that help our body and brain work together more effectively--plus it is FUN!

We had lots of time to play and practice how to be a kind friend.

Next week we will explore fire safety. Please look for their first "homework" page on Tuesday--it will be a paper to do a few activities around your home and record where your family meeting spot is. If you don't have one already start thinking about a safe place away from your home and away from the road--maybe a swing set, particular tree, the neighbor's house, a shed, etc.
