We had a busy week exploring fire safety. We had our first homework--listening to smoke detectors and making a fire escape plan with our family. We enjoyed dressing up in kid sized fire gear and pretending with our friends. We also had water in the sensory table.
We learned about the emergency number--911 by singing songs and decorating the numbers to post at home.
We practiced stop, drop, & roll.
A big THANK YOU to the Doylestown fire department for coming into talk to us and for showing us your fire truck.
Friday we also participated in the school-wide fund run. We ran and ran and ran. It was so much fun!
Next week we will start our Signs of Fall Unit. If anyone has any garden remnants they are willing to donate, we would love to explore them in our classroom. Preferred items are durable garden produce like potatoes, carrots, turnips, radishes, dried beans, onions, any type of squash, pumpkins, gourds, beets, ear corn, soybean pods, etc.
