Penguins and Polar Animals Jan 22-25, 2019

We had a short but busy week--2 snow days, Family Fun Day, and one day with lots of new centers.

Many family members joined us for Family Fun Day. We drew and drove in shaving cream "snow", painted our own snow storm, ripped and cut paper to make a melted snowman, made sparkling name cards, and made an ice cream milkshake. We also read and played with our family members.

We celebrated some students having perfect attendance for the first semester.

We finished the week with Pp show & share and spent the rest of the day learning about penguins. We tried balancing eggs on our feet like dad penguins. We explored "ice fishing" in the sensory table to see if we could find fish and krill like penguins eat. We made book pages comparing our height to an adult Emperor penguin. We just plain had fun with penguin finger puppets and penguin bowling.

We played with our classmates too.

Next week we will read Mo Willems stories!
