We had a great week talking about what we like best about our world and thinking of ways to keep it clean. We read The Giving Tree and The Lorax.
We finger painted to make leaves and blossoms for our hall tree.
We were busy in the art center making use of discarded paper, cardboard tubes, bubble wrap, etc. One child showed me how she makes unicorn pencil holders from soup cans.
We had fun imagining and playing with our friends and exploring materials.
In the morning one child wanted to be a conductor and organized her classmates into groups and directed us as we sang BINGO. The next day another child wanted to do it again. He directed as we sang about Pete the Cat's shoes. He told us which colors to sing about for the shoes.
In the afternoon we played The Farmer in the Dell multiple times.
Next week we will explore Wild Animals.
