Exploring Autumn Unit Oct 12-22, 2021

The last 2 weeks we were busy noticing the changes fall brings. We noticed the cooler temperatures, saw frost on leaves one morning, and spent lots of time outside. We went to Creek Bed Country Farmacy, rode in a tractor drawn wagon, picked a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch, saw farm animals, and played on their playground. The next day the high school FFA members brought animals for us to see. We opened soybean pods and counted the seeds inside. A favorite activity was painting with fall colors and cutting a a huge leaf to add to our tree in the hallway. We finished with a walk collecting and sorting leaves. We noticed different sizes, shapes, and colors of leaves.

We found lots of time to connect with our classmates too.

Next week we will enjoy some Halloween stories and a dress up day.
