We had a great week of Halloween stories and projects. On Tuesday we started our day painting pumpkins donated by Adam Hohlstein and his children Reid and Journey. We also read a skeleton book, talked about different bones in out bodies, and made a skeleton. Wednesday we read about our class puppet Gray Squirrel's friend Earl. We made squirrel puppets and worked on decorating our names with seeds. Thursday we read the book Big Pumpkin and saw a witch, ghost, mummy, and a bat work together to pick a very big pumpkin. We practiced drawing different feelings on pumpkin faces and made a book. Friday we wore costumes and read the book A Very Brave Witch and enjoyed some songs on the Ben Q board. In between all this we worked on friendship building and having fun.
