Numbers Week

What a busy week! We had our first show and shares, made our own book, played with friends, sang songs, AND practiced how to put on winter layers so we could enjoy the first lasting snow of the season.

Show & Share--Tuesday we focused on number three and could bring in 3 related items. We noticed how they were similar and if there were differences. We also counted them. Wednesday was 4 day and Thursday was 5 day. Friday we took a break from show & share.

Number Rhyme Book--We practiced the rhyme One, two tie my shoe... and worked on making a book we will bring home sometime next week.

Pete the Cat and His 4 Groovy Buttons--On four day we read about Pete the Cat and his four groovy buttons. We made circle buttons to do the subtraction along with the story as each of Pete's buttons popped off.

Turkey Name Decorations--We worked on a decoration for the classroom using the letters of our name printed on paper to fill out a turkey's tail.

We had lots of fun with our friends too. In the morning the clipboards were popular for writing on throughout the room. In the afternoon we had many chefs and puppeteers. There was water in the sensory table, lots of building with various kinds of blocks, and play dough creations as well.

Next week we will explore families and Thanksgiving.
